Ovate, expanding to almost flat. Multiple scales give the  shaggy appearance

5cm to 15cm across

White, tinged pinkish-brown.

10cm to 15cm, 1cm to 1.5cm diameter. Thicker towards the base / bulb.

White, blushing pink / red with age or damage.

There is a movable double ring on the stem.
